Adios Damaged Hair!

I just hacked off 10+ inches of my hair. My hair is short to me now (it was almost to my derriere) but I suppose most people still consider it to be long (about mid-back length). At least now I'll have an easier time brushing it. I'm just curious as to how fast it'll appear to grow this time. Back in late November I chopped off 3-4 inches and by the beginning of January it was actually longer than it had been before late November.
